For the budding new ebiz people out there, I wanted to make some comments on a service I use repeatedly: Hostgator.

I chose Hostgator after doing some research for web providers. My experiences with them so far have been great. With one account, I am able to create unlimited sub-domains. Each sub-domain is allowed to have it’s own domain name as well! This alone was a huge improvement over my previous host of choice (powweb).

Another Hostgator feature I love is the fantastico installation program. With this, I am able to immediately add a wordpress blog or a CMS like Joomla.

I have used tech-support on three occassions and each time the service was quick and the issue was resolved. They also offer live text chat support. The wait for a support person has always been under 5 minutes.

For 9.95 a month, this shared hosting plan can’t be beat. I have six sites running now and all of them hosted on the same account. So far there have been no issues. I’m truly happy with their service and I think you will be to.
