Gaining Rank Update

Following up on a previous discussion here, I checked Google and Yahoo today to see if this site finally shows up. The good news is that Google now lists this blog and even my posts over at digital point forum. Yahoo still does not list this blog but does list my name from a grab of the Digital Point forum.

As for traffic, it’s pretty low. To my amazement, I have yet to have a single blogger come randomly visit. The “next” blog button does nothing to drive traffic to your blog. Maybe I’m the only one that surfs through blogs. :)

Less is More?

It’s good to be back from my business trip. I’ve been reading more on Ebiz and found this astonishing “fact”. The more choices you give someone, the less response you get. I quote the author “When faced with too many choices, most people can become paralyzed and do nothing at all”. In a store a test was set up between a table with 6 product choices and a table of 24 product choices.

Sales:
Table with 6 choices: 30% purchased an item
Table with 24 choices: 3% purchased an item

How will you apply this knowledge to your ebiz?

Is Knowledge Truly Power?

I remember the first time I heard the phrase “knowledge is power”. I was in the USAF, 18 years old, and listening to a TSgt telling us new airmen something he thought was profound. I remember thinking to myself that something wasn’t exactly right about this statement.

It’s taken many years now to pinpoint why I was having a problem. Knowledge alone does nothing; it is mere trivia. But if knowledge is married to application, to some purpose, it is then truly powerful.

For ebiz (or any business), knowledge alone will not help you. You can read 1000′s of ebooks but still not succeed. You must learn and apply. You must take knowledge (even if the knowledge resides in others you hire) and use it for a definite purpose to accomplish a specific goal.

The resources are there (both freeware and payware). You must set your goals and apply knowledge for your benefit.
