The Vitale Challenge Part I

I recently bought The E-Code: 33 Internet Superstars Reveal 43 Ways to Make Money Online Almost Instantly—Using Only Email book and read it. I was intrigued by the first chapter where Joe Vitale sets up a quick money making formula. Will this formula really generate money? The only way to find out is to set up for myself what I call the “Vitale Challenge”.

In the first chapter, Vitale provides a simple formula to immediately start making money. He says “not everyone reading this article will act on this formula, but those who do have a good chance of making a lot of money fast.” The formula is this:

  1. Go to Google Zeitgeist and review hot searches
  2. Pick something you are curious about
  3. Research topic online and compile info on it
  4. Make an e-book, e-report, or e-audio related to the subject
  5. Make a one page website and offer your e-product
  6. List the product on Ebay

Alright Joe. I aÂ’m going to act on the formula and report back my success or failure.

Year in Review

Google has released the 2005 year in review. I would suggest you take a look and see if you can’t find some niche mixed in with the most popular searches for 2005.

More on this later!

Front-end vs the Back-end

I’ve been reading a lot about the front-end vs the back-end. The basic gist is that while you make an initial sale (front-end), should have an additional back-end product to sell. As the experts put it, the hardest sale is the first. Once a customer buys from you, they are much more likely to buy again (if the experience was positive).

Some people are willing to even take a loss on front-end sales so they can have the shot at a more lucrative back-end product or service. At minimum, a smart business move is to always have something else to sell after the first purchase is made.
